~ Amelia ~

Amelia traveled to the Rainbow Bridge today.

While not all of our rescue dogs find their Forever Homes while in our care, they are still loved and cared for, no matter their age or health concerns.  Each life is so precious to us, as it should be to everyone.  Amelia has been with us for over a year, enjoying playtime with some of our other senior citizens.  It's quite enjoyable to see the ladies jaunt outside for a few minutes, then demanding to come back inside for their treats!

While Amelia is no longer with us, in the end, her life did matter.  It mattered to us.  We're so very pleased to have known Amelia, and to have had the opportunity to show her the happiest time of her life.

Perhaps you will find it in your heart to welcome a senior into your home, so you too, can have the most rewarding experience of your life.

Give Your Life to a Senior.

Amelia was found (out of state) tied to a fence at a shelter when they opened one morning. She had spent the night, right next to a busy highway, not knowing what she had done so wrong to cause her family to "dump" her in the middle of the night. Sweet Amelia is deaf, and couldn't even hear the cars as they passed by, making her predicament even scarier.

Because of her deafness and her age (we believe Amelia is 10 years old), the shelter was going to put her to sleep as an "unadoptable" pet. When we were told of her situation, we arranged immediate transportation for this love bug and brought her into our care in Dallas.

Amelia is such a gentle sweetheart that deserves to find that special home that will care for her and give her the love and nurturing that she craves. She adores to be near you and to be petted. She should not be overlooked because of her age, as there is a lot of love left in this beautiful lady.

All dogs adopted by Scottie Kingdom Rescue have had a full medical exam by our Veterinarian and have received all necessary vaccinations, in addition to being spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Scottie Kingdom Rescue is a 501(c)3 Non Profit Organization. We prefer to adopt to families with past Scottie, Westie and/or Terrier experience, but realize this isn’t always possible. You must have a secure & fenced yard.

We do not ship our pets. If you have that special place in your heart & in your home for a Scottie (or any of our other available Rescue Dogs), please be prepared to visit us in Dallas for an in person meet & greet session with our Available Dogs. If you have existing dogs, they must travel to Dallas with you, so we can be assured that they will be compatible with the new addition to your family.

Please contact us at Rescue@scottiekingdom.com to receive an Adoption Application or for more information on our Adoption process. Also, please take the time to visit our website www.scottiekingdom.com for further information.

Thank you for considering Adoption!
